Josh Goodman - Josh has taken part in 1511 Robotics since his freshman year in 2005. He went from being the small kid who carried the printer, to the Team Captain and best Coach that 1511 has had yet. He is attending the Rochester Institute of Technology for Electrical Engineering. His hardwork will take him to great heights.

Rika Lee - Rika has been one of our lead Scouting headmasters. She also joined her freshman year also in 2005. Her bright, enthusiastic energy is what has helped to excite not only herself, but the ones surrounding her. She has contributed not only her scouting data and knowledge of other teams, but has lead by example as one of 1511's team leaders. She is attending the Rochester Institute of Technology for Electrical Engineering with the grant she had received from them!

Cristian Smith - Cris joined the team his Freshman year in 2005. He was a master at computers, which came in handy on our Webpage and Programming Subteams. He is currently attending the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Brenton Wright - Brenton was one of our hands on mechanical kids that just loved to get his hands all greasy and not have a care in the world! He was also our primary Pilot this year for Lunacy. Transferring from another high school, we managed to pull him into robotics from an informational session in 2007! From then we've had him until graduation. He originally took part in FIRST Robotics with the Charles Finney High School - Falcons Robotics - Team 1405. He is attending the Rochester Institute of Technology to further his knowledge in both the Electrical and Mechanical field.

Cuyler McChesney - He was one of our main Mechanical subteam members with 3 years of experience on our team. He spent many long hours making sure our robot was built right! He currently attends the Monroe Community College.

Sean Kemp - Sean was on the team for 2 years and was part of the Electrical Subteam. He is currently a Pharmacy Technician here in Rochester.

Nicolas Jasak - Nic was on our team for 2 years and was part of the Programming and Electrical subteams. He is the first of our alumni to enter the military!

Collin Sowinski - Collin was on the team for 3 years and was part of the Electrical and Animation subteams. He was also an unofficial team photographer with his amazing photography skills. He is currently attending Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute.

Class of 2009 students that were with our team for a full year prior to the 2008-2009 season, but did not "graduate" from the team.
Jessica Butler - Jessica was a member of the team from her freshman year through her junior year. She originally joined the team with friends, and was on the Flare subteam for her first year. She soon found that she was interested in engineering and joined the electrical subteam to help out. Her Junior year she was on pitcrew and part o the chairmans presentation team! She has since graduated and is now working on training to become a beautician.

Martin O'Hern - Martin was our crazy inventor for a few years.

Melanie Silvus - Melanie was a member of our team for a few years and had many different interests! She was great at math and was always helping us "run the number"! She was a member of our drive team in 2007!

Dan Williams - Dan joined us for his Junior year at PHS and while very busy with sports was always excited and helpful on the team! He helped organize our first Applebees pancake breakfast, and was one of our lead scouters at competition.

Alexis Rule - Alexis was on our team for her sophomore year.


Our 2008 Seniors: Rajeev, Austin, Steve, Randy, Joe, Graeme & Jim!
Jim Bossert - Jim was a significant person to our team, as he was a Deaf member, it still showed us that anyone can really do Robotics. He was a helping hand programmer that often did his own things but back-tracked to help teach and learn from others. Effectively, he has helped us test several drivetrain programs. He is currently attending the Rochester Institute of Technology where mentors all-Deaf rookie team 3126.

Graeme Buckley - Graeme was the head team driver that always got it together and did his best for competitions. As much as he liked to laze around, he was a great contribution to the team as a whole. He is currently attending the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Joe Pizansio - Joe was our team mascot the Gorilla. He was a brilliant computer wiz at creating animations and could always make everyone have a good laugh. He is currently attending the Rochester Institute of Technology.


Rajeev Sharma - Rajeev made great contributions to our team through bright, excellent programming. He mostly worked on the Robot Controls system especially for the work of the XBox controls on Mach 1511. He is currently attending Carnegie Mellon for Computer Science.

Steven Wolf - Steve was our main Mechanical man alongside other team members. With his excessive knowledge within the mechanical field, he was able to assist our team greatly in the pits non-stop.Not stopping there, he was also a Student Leader, and Safety Captain. He has truly set a great form of excellency and success for further students to follow. He is currently attending Clarkson University for Biomolecular Science.

Austin D. Quinn - Austin was our "Thunder Man". He was part of the mechanical pit crew. Austin has always kept us in high spirits to keep rumbling. He is currently attending Monroe Community College and will be doing a 2+2 program with the University of Buffalo.

Randy Zingo - Randy was our all around kid. He would know about the cheesiest stuff, but at the same time, you would have liked it. Randy worked a whole lots with CAD alongside Steve. He also worked with the mechanical team to assist our robots. Randy is now attending the University of Buffalo for Mechanical Engineering.

Adam Burns - Adam joined the team for its first year and was on the team for three full years and was an electrical wiz kid! One of our pit crew members, he was always great entertainment and could always put a smile on your face!

Dillon Weerasinghe - Dillon was one of our electrical Guru's.

Stephan Chauvin - Stephan joined our team for the 2007 season and loved to contribute to building our robot. He helped get us involved with the Intervol community service program. He is attending the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Mark Mascadri - Mark was our senior team captain, and has been on the team since its inception. First starting with us as a wound-up sophomore, with some hard work he grew to be an inspirational team leader. One of the team's best presenters, a presenter for the Chairman's Award, a booming leader of team cheers, Mark will be missed by the team. He is attending SUNY Maritime to get his degree in Engineering and attends many of our competitions and summer activities!

Jackie Nielson - Jackie joined the team in our second year and has been an excited part of our team ever since. Participating in everything from FLL to leadership, Jackie showed the team the imporantce of persistance and happiness. She is attending Monroe Community College, and will be doing a 2+2 program with Rochester Institute of Technology. She has returned to help the team as a mentor as well!

Annie Vongnaphone - Annie was with us for her junior year and was the head of the mechanical team. A wiz at math and with any tool, Annie could fix or find anything. She is attending Monroe Community College towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering, andreturned to the team as a mentor for a year!

Lorien Lee - Lorien is attending Monroe Community College. Lorien joined us at the inception of the team in September 2004. She was part of the spirit subteam both years, and in the 2005-2006 year joined the Strategy/Drive Subteam. She was the subteam leader for the spirit subteam, and was our team captain! She was also selected to be on the drive team as the operator for our robot shooter, and built both the drivetrain and the operator controls. She will be staying with 1511 as a mentor while she attends college.

Alex Peach - Alex is attending RPI for Computer Engineering or Computer Science, possibly Animation. Alex also joined our team at its inception, and brought along his dad, a Harris Engineer, and his brother. Alex was our lead animator for both years and put in a lot of long hours to finish each years animation.

Ashley Cheney - Ashley is attending the Clarkson School at Clarkson University. She joined our team for the Buckeye and Championship competitions in 2005. Although traveling from Victor, she joined the Strategy/Drive subteam and was very active in building several parts of our robot. She worked very hard on our team's Chairman's Award and was selected as the drive team Coach.

Keith Kearns - Keith was attending Monroe Community College for Computer Graphics after graduating a year early from PHS. Keith also joined our team at its inception. In his junior year, Keith joined the Strategy/Drive subteam and was selected as the team's human player for competition. He was also very active in building several parts of the robot during build season. He even returned as a mentor help out with the drive train! Sadly we lost Keith in February of 2009. We have dedicated a page to him here.

Andrew Harlan - Andrew is attending Rochester Institute of Technology for Engineering. Andrew joined us after helping us set up our first 2005 Rochester Rally. He was part of the 2005-2006 Leadership and Drive Subteams. He and his family were great promotors of our team Patron Drive.


Tommy Cavaliere - Tommy was one of our first seniors and was a huge help in putting together the electronics and the field for the Rally. At that rally, Tommy showed his prowess for coaching and became our first student coach, trag-teaming the responsibility with Larry. Tommy coached the drive team to a regional win at the Greater Toronto Regional. Tommy is currently a Business Major at Del-Tech.

Andy Choi - Andy was with us in 1511's first year, and was often helpful with just about everything. But we found his most amazing skill was in scouting. He sat through the entire Toronto Regional scouting every single match with very accurate yet often hilarious comments! His great scouting helped us make a pick list that helped several teams in alliance selection and ultimately helped us win the regional!

Mir Khabursky - Mir was one of our three founding seniors and was our team's first Treasurer and a part of the business team. Mir was our 2005 Human player and was around for nearly everything our team did. He helped build the robot and his positive attitude and huge smile was always a big encouragement to the team. He went to Rochester Institute of Technology in the fall of 2005 for business, and volunteered for the Finger Lakes Regional.
Mirza Strujo - Mirza was our first Team Captain and a great driving force for our team. He was a great leader, and was involved in everything the team did. From business to pit crew, building our drivetrain to making posters for the Rally, Mirza did it all. He was always there to motivate the team, and even returned this past build season to psych up the new leadership. He is currently attending Alfred University for Mechanical Engineering.
