Hello 1511!

We are still moving, just slowly with FLL in the Bahamas. When summer vacation is in session, teachers disappear - quite literally. School started back up on the 24th for teachers, with students coming last week. I will connect with the forum again within the week.

Thanks for still working on this.  Is there anything we can assist with on this?  It is important to us that things work out well with this.

Thanks,
Larry

FYI, Im guessing it is likely too late to start an "official" event, and maybe there arent enough teams down there anyway, but they can start small with an unofficial event, and I can get all the documentation to help them do that, and explain the basic process (its sort of like our Razzle Dazzle or Rumble).

« Reply #36 on: October 10, 2009, 09:29:59 PM »

Hi Gang --- Larry and I have been going full force this week and we officially have a team in The Bahamas --

The team is based at the school I work at and is part of the pre-engineering magnet program.

The team is 10474: AR SupaMix

(Anatol Rodgers) SupaMix

We are also registered to attend a qualifying in FL: Cape View's Battle at the Beach Part 2 qualifier event on January 9th 2010 in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

I hope you got all of your supplies okay. I didn't realize it was such a task to send packages internationally!

Be sure to take plenty of photos during the process and at the FL qualifiers so we can show our team! You can send them to Larry or post them on Smug Mug. If you have the password, it has a new user name: smugmug at penfieldrobotics.com.

It would be wonderful if we could add something about AR SupaMix to our website.

Could we be provided with a Team Picture and maybe even a picture of their school? A little paragraph about the team? (i.e. how many kids, what age range, what are some of their hobbies, what school they go to, etc.)

Hey Michelle!

I hope your FL regional went well! Did the kids enjoy themselves? Any pictures you have?
