These are the Roles we have defined in the past, we will review them for the 2009-2010 season, suggestions & comments from the whole team are welcome
Team Captain: -Traditionally done by senior
-Leadership Subteam Leader
-Defines Agendas & Topics for Leadership Subteam
-Ensures all roles are being properly filled
Subteam Coordinator: - point of contact for subteams
- obtains budgets & goals from subteams
- runs subteam report meetings
- checks up on subteams, monitors goals & schedules
- creates build season integration team
- helps coordinate/determine subteam meeting schedule
Treasurer: - plans & tracks team budget (school)
- understands Harris Budget
- Submits all donation & fundraiser money
- Coordinates & fills out all fundraiser requests
Scribe/Secretary: - takes & distributes leadership meeting notes
- works with parents/Leann to keep track of achievements
- maintains & organizes team documentation book
Meeting Coordinator: - Types & prints Agenda for team meetings (including announcements)
- Works with Meeting Activity organizer to make sure all supplies are available
- Develops Schedule of who reads Announcements
- Coordinates Pizza for team meetings (assigns pizza nazis)
Activity Coordinator: - Responsible for team calendar (works with Kim to develop activities)
- Assures that there are enough demos & community service events for
- Works with activity leaders to make sure all transportation/photos etc are covered
- Collects attendance & photos from activity leader
- Default activity organizer if no student steps up (try to arrange for one first)
School Relations: - Books all rooms for activities, meetings & subteam meetings
- Works with Mr. Brewer to get activities (not fundraisers) approved
- Develops Ideas to get more school support (Board of Ed, Faculty, Students, Etc)
- Works on ways to recruit more teachers
- Creates & Submits School Announcements
- Gets info on school activities we can participate in (Ice Cream Socials, Pep Rally's, etc)
FLL Coordinator: - Get 1511 Members involved with FLL
- Report on FLL activities & needs
- Work on FLL Goals & Budgets
- Help Penfield FLL students with achievements
- Develop ways to spread FLL in Rochester
Communications Coordinator:- Team E-mails & Post on Forums
- Student Membership Moderation
- Make sure students have forum accounts
- Sponsor Newsletters
- Bulletin Board & Trophy Case
- Announcements on the Main RThunder website
New Students Liaison:- Get to know all new students
- Recruiting
- Coordinate Info Sessions
- Collect Applications
- Make sure they get on forums
- Get old students to get to know new students
- Buddy System
- Make sure when we do team building activities, it isn’t all new students or all old students
Public Relations:- Keep in touch with Penfield Post
- Keep in touch with School Newspaper
- Contact Media for events
- Post photos in Democrat and Chronicle
