You guys read my mind :)
Though I missed this post until today I will admit...

I had a lunch meeting today that I did some brainstorming in, and here are just my thoughts

Main Concepts
* Look at data collection from both Alliance Selection & Match Strategy points of view
* SIMPLIFY - every year we have a ton of data that we don't need/use.  Look at ideas and make sure they are USEFUL, otherwise we are just creating more work for ourselves
* Focus on making OUTPUT of the database useful.  Things like averages, totals, etc.  See if we can come up with our own Offensive Power Rating & Defensive Power Ratings based on individual robot data.
* Buttons & Checkboxes are easier to interact with than dropdowns, use them as often as possible!

Match Input Ideas

Tubes: {Triangle, Circle, Square, N/A}

Drive

Notes:___________

Notes:_________

[Y/N]
Notes:_________

Notes
______________

-----------------------------------------
{} = indicates checkboxes - mulitchoice
[] = indicates buttons - single choice
___ = open blank (notes)

Pit Scouting Ideas
Drivetrain Type
Drivetrain Speed (Ft/Sec)
Pushing Power

Auto Placement [3x6 Grid]
Auto Start

Arm Reach: L, M, H
Arm Speed (Floor to Top): 1 2 3 4 5 6 7+ sec
Pickup: Floor, Feeder, None
Tube Control: Grabber, Roller, Etc
Tubes: T, C, S, N/A

Minibot Deployment: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7+ sec
Minibot Climb Time: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7+ sec

DriveTeam: Switch Teams, Same Team, Backup Team

Again these are just some ideas :)  I would urge you to simplify as much as possible, both entry and what data is collected... what is REALLY useful? Not every single detail about a match is helpful.  You guys did post some good ideas above though :)
