FIRST Dean's List Award
About the Dean's List Award
Established in 2010 the award was created to recognize the leadership and devotion of some of FIRST’s most outstanding FRC students. The Kamen family has announced the creation of this new award for the selection of the top students--FIRST superstars, to be known as the FIRST Dean’s List nominees.
1511 & the Dean's List Award
A new award just this year, it's almost like 1511 was prepared and awaiting the release of this long desired award! This award has, and in the future will give mentors and other students the oppurtunity to recognize students who go above and beyond to not only represent FIRST, but their team also. Although one paged essays cannot express what more one or two student nominees could do, as Dean Kamen told Crystal, the 2010 recipient at the Boston Regional, "You're stuck in FIRST for the rest of your life".
2010 Nominees
The 2010 nominees on 1511 were student leaders Mike Hartman, and Crystal Vongnaphone. From their leading efforts in spreading the word of FIRST to the never-ending devotion to their team, they will continue to share FIRST's most prized principles!
