Winter Break, Day 1.
No formal blog entry today. I want to be on vacation, too!
We had access to the school today starting at 5. I saw programmers, essay writers, test takers, mechanics, electricians…
Students started wiring the kicker and by the end of the evening, the magnetic lock and kicker could be actuated under electrical power.
A significant portion of the superstructure has been cut and will be ready for assembly.
Programmers are still at work – sequestered in the cafeteria with Thunderplucker.
What we ate tonight! Leftovers! Since there was such an excess of meatballs last night, Andy’s mom heated it back up and brought it in with more sub-rolls and chips and veggies and dip. Oh, and leftover camo cake! Pink tongues again!
We were very family like at dinner and told stories about catching mice and played an alphabet game – category – fruit! A is for apple! E is for Eggplant! (is that a fruit?) I is for Iguana! It went downhill from there!
Chairman’s essay is done and just under 10,000 characters. We still have the executive summaries to finish and the photos to arrange.
So many odds and ends are starting to hit the to-do lists. Make decals of our sponsors for the robot. Finish the bumpers. Get back into button making for the Finger Lakes Regional. Finish the prep for rally. And make plans cheese the robot, because it needs to go on a big diet!
