Today we have started our 3-day Impact Bootcamp for the 2024-2025 FRC season. With 12 students, 4 adults and 2 facilitators we are starting our journey in preparing our submission for Impact. Starting with a few ice breakers we moved on to dissecting both our team’s and FIRST‘s vision and mission statement, we then broke for lunch and returned to dive into presentations both formal and informal, what to do, what not to do, what makes a good presenter and the pitfalls that can turn a good presentation into a bad presentation. We also generated a comprehensive list of what we do as a team, (every year I am amazed how long this list is!) and began trying to sort what each event boils down to. We ended the day with a game of scary paper, then off to dinner and a quick trip to Pittsford Dairy for some ice-cream. Time to get some sleep so we are ready for another for another day.
