Week one is always filled with discussion, debate, crazy ideas and not so crazy ideas. This year we moved very quickly into the prototyping phase and a rapid assembly of our intended drive base to allow the programming team to begin working on the control systems as we have shifted to new swerve module as well as new motors. We also have shifted all our CAD work from Inventor (our school has done away will all our servers and gone to cloud based applications) to Onshape® which is completely cloud based and allows multiple students to work on one assembly at the same time, and with it’s large database of FIRST and AndyMark parts that allows teams to easily CAD complete robots. We have had 7 great meals donated by parents as well as one of our newest patrons. T shirt designs have been started as well as social media posts have been made. All in all we are off to a good start!
