Team Captain Crystal here!
It’s hard to believe that we’re almost at the closing of week two already. Tonight we started off with a delicious meal provided by Justin & his wonderful parents! Our team wiped out three crockpots of south-western soup with cornbread, salad and some seriously good cookie pans.
Team Leader Larry returned safely from his trip and shortly started the Integration which ran briefly with an overview of each subteams progress. It looks as though our momentum is still going really well, and concept stages are almost over. More parts came in today, so many of our kids had their hands on something to work with!
Mentor Mr. Cavaliere has become our workshop butler! He’s been organizing every shelf, cabinet and tool chest you could think of! Who knows, maybe he’s secretly Superman. 😁
Student Andy seems to have completed the drive-train code, and so when our drive-train is put together, we’ll be able to hit the ground running as we test it! The hot topic of the day primarily dealt with strategic ideas on how to align with the base of the post for launching the minibot. We plan on getting more quantitative values this coming Saturday!
Saturday will be a busy day for us as FRC73, the Visioneers will be joining us for a combined robot session. They will work on their robot, and we’ll work on ours, but we’ll also be helping them out since they are the Veteran Rookie’s in the Rochester area!
We look forward to seeing you on the webcast this Saturday!
