So this one is Washington DC Regional, which we most recently attended in 2011. This regional was my first travel regional, and although I was still only a freshman, being a Chairman’s presenter kept me busy! I have many specific memories from that regional, some of which are being dragged across the venue by FRC 233 PINK’s police robot, watching our minibot begin to operate as planned, and helping tons of teams at the event! Our team could be found in nearly every pit, helping teams build their robot, finish bumpers, fix a broken component, or even supplying them with a needed part. I will never forget that regional, and not because we won the Regional Chairman’s Award there, but because it was an event that gave our team the opportunity to show what we’re really all about: Having fun while learning and helping others to create a more competitive yet friendly event!
